Details: What is it? Digital storytelling is using digital images, video and audio to convey a concept, as part of teaching. The Center for Digital Storytelling in San Francisco offers good background information about digital storytelling. Why might it be relevant? Emory faculty are using digital storytelling to introduce course content in several music departments, and also in environmental studies. Faculty from several departments within the College including Womens Studies, Economics, French and Italian, Visual Arts and English all created digital stories. What will I learn? How digital storytelling is being used in higher ed. The key aspects of a sucessful digital story. Support available at Emory for incorporating digital storytelling into course content.
